Show You Should Know: Celia Woodsmith Album Release at Lizard Lounge 9/8

Every so often a record comes along that I truly want to write up the most astounding review about. But like a lot of the finer things in life, like whiskey, wine, errrr whiskey, they are best left to sit and churn inside the barrel of your mind after you listen or bottle them up. Sometimes allowing something to really sink in, absorb into the finer grains of your emotion and mind and allow you to digest the power and beauty they behold. That works best sometimes.

So is the case with the Celia Woodsmith‘s new record ‘Cast Iron Shoes’. And also, just like those finer things, music is a thing best served up right in front of your face so you can sense it, smell it, drink it all in. For all you Camber-villians you can do just that this week. Celia and her Say Darling compadres will take to the Lizard Lounge and fill it to the brim with these power pumping, emotionally draining and fulfilling (thats perplexing right? But seriously, just see her perform and you will understand what I mean) and heart fueled songs.

There are some things that you have to see to believe and sometimes the fact that you cannot draw the proper words in time for a proper feature to promote a show is merely a sign that the feelings an album gives you simply runs a bit deeper and it is best to allow them to fully develop. Go to this show. (oh yeah, and our buddies Dharmasoul open it up. Twice as nice.)

Lizard Lounge. Cambridge, MA. September 8th. 9 PM.
