Brewster Productions Announces 2017 Acoustic Nights Series Line-up (Plymouth, MA)

The cool breeze off the ocean, the scent of boiled crabs in the air and the sound of sweet music twirling in unison with the salt sprayed air in Plymouth’s downtown. No, its not a really fantastic dream you have over the cold winter months, another season of the Brewster Productions’ Acoustic Nights Series is about to roll out.

Though I have been lucky enough to perform at these shows myself, it was after the playing was done and being able to sit back on the lawn of the Hedge House and take in some of the best that New England has to offer that really stuck with me and kept me wanted to go back again and again to catch great performances from incredible artists at a ridiculously beautiful location. Now in its 10th season the series shows no signs of slowing down and the line up for this summer is another one packed with talent.

“We are so excited to celebrate our tenth season with this line up,” said Eva Walsh, series co-producer, new to the leading role this season after volunteering since 2013. “It’s a great mix of genres and it showcases the richness of the independent music scene in Eastern Massachusetts.”

Series co-founder and co-producer Jon Dorn adds, “When we started the series we were 21 years old, just trying to help young musicians find a place to perform their original music.” With 10 years under their belt at this point it is safe to say they have become a staple in the summer entertainment in Plymouth and the growth of the series is a testament to that. Dorn continues, “We had no idea it would go for ten seasons; the community has been amazingly supportive.”

The first show is later on this month and features Brooklyn folk/Americana songwriter Dan Mills and Plymouth native and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Hayley Sabella on June 24th right in the heart of downtown (so, you know , grab a bite and support the local economy beforehand as well as local artists). Future events feature some other RLR favorites: George Woods and Savoir Faire among others and full details of those shows can be found at the Brewster Productions website.
