You know like, the afterparty that only the cool people get invited to? The VIP, the place where all the enviable stories come from? Lamplighter Stage at Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots is kind of like that. Except, everyone is invited and it’s all the more special because of that. Its in those moments that are often times completely unplanned that the most magic happens, late in the early morning. I could go on and tell stories and stories, but its more special to experience it and make your own. You never know who is going to pop up during a set and Jill and John Turpin have finely crafted the “show runners” for each Lamplighter set to architect the perfect setting for cultivating improvisation and collaboration.
The festival just announced this year’s showcase sets and while the names curating each set are heavy hitters in their own right, you never know who will emerge from the darkness of the night and into the glow of the Lamplighter Stage. Not to be missed…
