Show You Should Know: The Wolff Sisters at Cafe 939 (Feb 14th)

I’ve seen quite a few shows at Berklee’s Cafe 939. Shows ranging from intimate artists like Michael Grubbs of Wakey! Wakey! with just himself and a piano to roots program recitals to country songwriters and beyond. I have even had the pleasure of playing the room in the past with friend and former bandmate Nate Leavitt. The room plays host to a whole slew of styles and genres. Sit down on the floor in front of the stage, or kick off your shoes and two step, the room has a vibe.

This coming Friday, yup Valentine’s Day, Boston blues-folk-rockers The Wolff Sisters will be setting the stage on fire and breaking hearts. The band is hard to put into any sort of a bucket or place. Tight harmonies, ripping Stratocaster solos and keen focus on songwriter, the band, well, they are a band best seen live. So get out to the show.

The Wolff Sisters, Boston’s own born and bred folk-rock band, are returning for a highly anticipated hometown show at The Red Room at Cafe 939 on February 14th. It will be the two time Boston Music Award nominee’s follow up to their sold out album release show for their latest album ‘Queendom of Nothing’ at The Burren back in October. Local radio station WUMB 91.9 will be doing a ticket giveaway during the last week of January. Justin Nash Fisher opens the show.
