Fresh Track: Christopher Paul Stelling “Trouble Don’t Follow Me”

I guess its been about a week since Christopher Paul Stelling dropped the first single from his upcoming release. “Trouble Don’t Follow Me” has a driving backbeat, a swing that scoops you up and carries you along for the ride…a ride played out in Stelling’s incredibly cinematic accompanying music video for the track.

There is a bit more of a lighthearted vibe to the latest from Stelling. Where his 2017 release “Itinerant Arias” bolstered songs like “Destitute” and “Badguys” with a definitive cutting edge and silver tongued nature to releasing a lot of pent up frustration about the landscape of the world at the time, this song feels a bit more buoyant and vibrant, yet it still delivered with the passion and true heart that we have come to know from the singer-songwriter.

And there seems to be quite a bit of enthusiasm about getting this and more out into the world from his end. Describing getting to the point of this first single release as ” a crazy expansive journey” he recently posted to his social media, “FRIENDS, I’m thrilled to announce my new album “Best of Luck” produced by the great Ben Harper will be released on February 7th 2020. You can hear the new single “Trouble Don’t Follow Me” NOW on your platforms of choice. Pre-order the album through my personal store for exclusive bundles, and colored vinyl…”

We highlight suggest you do just that and in the meanwhile, dig into “Trouble Don’t Follow Me”.
