Peep This: Tyler Childers’ Countri-delic Video For “All Your’n”

As someone who came across Tyler Childers‘ songs through a Youtube channel featuring a stationary camera and a clean shaven, short hair styled Tyler on Red Barn Radio, watching him adapt as he gets his feet wet with a big label has been a real treat. There have, of course, been the folks concerned that being under the umbrella of a corporation as big as Sony. Those afraid he might lose his edge or control over his creative license. The release of video for ‘All Your’n’ should give all those folks ease, as Childers’ is still sharp as a damn diamond blade and his humor and grit are ever present throughout the latest content release celebrating his upcoming release “Country Squire”.

Tyler has never apologized for the honesty in his art and songs, which is why he is one of the most genuine and talented songwriters out there today. And while past songs have made reference to recreational use of certain substances, we see it in full effect here…at least thats what we can gather from the music video…but man does he seem to have fun with it.

The boy can act as well, taking on the role of various characters throughout the psychedelic, tripped out visual video. Ranging from a haphazard looking disheveled gent that awakes in the woods who’s visions are seemingly induced by some sort of tree bong to an older southern pool shark to bartender to, well you’ll see. Trailing clouds behind dancing mushrooms and oversized bugs as he stumbles along to the patter of the tune, eventually stumbling through the mouth of an alive tree and crashing a table in a dive bar…which is where things get really interesting. But you will have to watch on to see what we mean. Get after it folks.
