I have to say I am a little jealous. The inimitable Dr. Gasp once told me that he never comes out of his lair, snacking on Vampire Fish and candy corn to perform outside of October, but I guess he is getting with the times and branching out to Spring-oween and playing an extra spooktacular show this month…
He and the Philly based gutter folk duo Driftwood Soldier will be taking to the stage in Portland on 5/17 for what will be sure to be a special evening of songs and jubilation. Owen of Driftwood Soldier mentioned, “I think this might give us the high distinction of being the only band to play a show with everyday hero Dan Blakeslee in the month of October AND a show with Dr. Gasp in a month that is NOT-October. In other words, we’re no good at timing, but we know how to have a good time!”
Indeed. This is going to be a good one. Check out some videos from Gasp and DS below and if you are in the area (or in New England in general) check out Owen and Bobby this month around the area.
