Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots Announces Daily Line Up
We knew it was coming soon, but to see the full line up laid out day by day for Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots makes the fact that last evening was still 37 degrees here in the hills of Vermont seem like it was 73 and we are eagerly awaiting being out in the field stomping and dancing along to some of our favorite artists this August.
Thursday night last year was one of the most “party hard and dance harder” nights of the entire weekend and its looking that away again here. Our old pals Beg, Steal or Borrow will surely get folks moving and grooving and seeing our bud William Seeders Mosheim leading (what I assume) will be a late night Old-Time Jam is going to kick things off for the weekend right and really set the stage.
Whats not on the line up (yet) is waking up to great family activities, yoga and more. So don’t sleep in or cover your head at the sun begins to peer through your tent panels. Wake up, put on some coffee, pick a little with your neighbors before a day heavy on the collaborations kicks in.
And man oh man, that Sunday line up. While it ends earlier in the day it will surely not be lacking in emotion driven moments and some truly kick ass music from a full day of sets revolving around members and friends of Mandolin Orange. Christian Sedelmyer was heavily featured on Andrew Marlin‘s incredible instrumental record. Josh Oliver performs with Mandolin Orange and is one of the finest voices in roots and folk music today. Bobby Britt‘s beautiful debut was produced by Marlin and features Emily Frantz and Josh. Plus we get a Buried in a Cape set…I mean, its just gonna be a big old love fest of epic proportions. So be sure to stay all weekend.
