Show You Should Know: Passim’s Down Home, Up Here Festival April 13-14

Good things have staying power and in its 8th year at Club Passim, the Down Home, Up Here Festival is a sure indicator of that.

With a mix and mingling of some of the area’s finest alongside regional juggernauts, the event highlights bluegrass and old-time music from all around. Something that has been perpetuated by Berklee’s roots program spewing out some of the finest pickers into the Boston music community year after year. While there are a host of some of the best folks playing today, we here at RLR are particularly curious about that Gabe Hirshfeld & Massachusetts set. Other can’t miss sets on our list include mandolin monster Ethan Setiawan, Max Wareham & Friends and the duo set from Andy Cambria & George Clements. Regardless, it is another Passim event where you can and should plant your butt in a chair and stay put all weekend long.
