Show You Should Know: “Wedge Issues”- Trans Songwriter Night 10/7 – The Burren (Somerville, MA)

On October 7th heartfelt songs of healing, hope and…well, just some kick ass, wonderfully written tunes, will fill the air of The Burren in Davis Square. A three artist bill celebrating the music of transgender songwriters in the Boston music community hits the stage in Somerville and singer/songwriters Kerr Griffin, Ro Colegrove and CiCi Eberle round out the bill.

The show is being curated by Americana/Roots Rock songwriter Kerr Griffin and is being run as a benefit for the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. The folks performing and supporting that evening are also hoping to raise awareness for the Yes on 3/Freedom For All MA ahead of this November’s election.

Of the show Kerr told us, “It’s our mission to provide a warm and welcoming space for all individuals on the LGBTQ spectrum and drum up support for the organizations who are working so hard on this ballot question but to also support out and proud transgender performers.

Doors are at 7 and admission is 12 bucks in advance or 16 the day of. So, get your tickets  , grab a friend and get on out to support some great songwriters. Shows like these are not just a great way to support all artists in our community but it is also an incredible way to see 3 very different songwriters in one special evening.
