Peep This : Oliver the Crow “Ashes of a Day Gone By”

TONIGHT! (Yes, that is like this fine Tuesday in the evening time) Nashville-based cello-fiddle folk duo Oliver the Crow is playing a double album release show at Club Passim alongside singer-songwriter extraordinaire Caroline Cotter.

The duo manages to intertwine deep and emanating grooves through the use of their stringed instruments with beautifully honest vocals and endearing writing. The result sounds far larger than the sum of its parts. Blending traditions of folk and roots music with classical instruments played in new, exciting ways. Composition and intensely thought arrangements mingle with emotive voices and pensive lyrical work to create gorgeous tapestries of sounds.

Be sure to get out to the show tonight and keep that long weekend vibe rolling along. Watch their video for “Ashes of a Day Gone By” below…and go support some great touring artists.
