Show You Should Know: The Outlaw Roadshow 4/7

In many ways I still yearn for the nostalgia of when I first moved back to Boston from college. We lived in an apartment who’s floor level questioned the integrity of the building’s structure and when you turned the light on in the bathroom at night, silverfish would skitter across the floor to hide in the cracks in the baseboard. I could hardly afford a PBR at a show, nevermind a heady craft New England IPA and each concert experience I was able to attend was heightened to some insane level. It was an incredibly exciting time in Boston music at that time and Ryan Spaulding and “Ryan’s Smashing Life” was a huge window into all things in that community that I was just beginning to unearth for myself. I feel like I can really credit (or perhaps blame) Ryan for this deep need in my own psyche to support New England artists and if it wasn’t for RSL I am not sure that RLR would exist.

Flashforward 10+ years and Spaudling is now heading up (and has been for a number of years) The Outlaw Roadshow. Jumping city to city. Austin to Boston. Beyond. A collective of artists put together for weekends or one night showcases highlighting some of the best talent in roots and rock n’ roll courtesy of a guy who’s viewpoint into the creative space around Boston and beyond influenced my own love for that music so much.

Well, he is back at it again with a new take on the whole idea and adding delectable beverages into the mix. The Outlaw Roadshow presents The Craft Beer Concert Series. This Saturday sees Nate Leavitt and The Susan Constant at Exhibit “A” Brewing Company in Framingham, MA.

You can snag up tickets by shooting Ryan a message on Twitter.

I tend to think thats a pretty good idea. Get out and support local artists…and those that support those artists far more than any other folks do.
