A groove that digs itself into you and soothes you from within. It’s rare and certainly welcome when listening to a tune and “Bound To Do It Right” encompasses that feeling to the fullest. Kathleen Parks’ vocal is smooth and sultry, hitting all the highs just when you start to get comfortable relishing in its crushed velvety, silky smoothness. The percussive chop of the mandolin and intense groove of the upright bass. Never was it truer that a complete work is greater than the sum of its parts than with Twisted Pine and that summation of soaring fiddles and warm, heart melting harmonies is something quite special.
The band just dropped a brand new video for “Bound To Do It Right” and we are mighty happy to be bringing it to you all first here on RLR. The video itself is worth the price of admission…if you were paying for it, of course. An homage to what I gather from their socials is a favorite past time of the members of Twisted Pine, karaoke. Throughout the course of its four and a half minute run time you see friends and fellow artists singing along to their tune. Perhaps the highlight being the [Sick Instrumental] break.
This latest work from the band is an emulation of what you get with them live. Fun, energetic and engaging. To catch these folks live is to fall in love with each of them, their presence on a stage and the music they create as a collective force of musical brilliance.
The band will be busy over the next two months, hitting the road hard and visiting towns all over New England, dipping down south and out midwest a bit. Check all the dates out below and get out to a show if the Twists will be in your area over the course of the next couple weeks.
