Show You Should Know: Space Between, Julia Mark and Three At Home (Gallery 263, 4/28)

Its always nice to go to a show and see a good band. Going to a show and seeing two good bands, well heck thats fantastic…but 3 acts in one night? Unheard of you say? Then get on over to Gallery 263 tomorrow evening and take it in for yourself. The triple bill sees newish rockers Space Between, piano extraordinaire and singer Julia Mark and duo Three At Home taking to the intimate space that Gallery 263 offers to its patrons. Its a heck of a great place to take in a show and this is one you should get down for.

Space Between (strictly been told this name is NOT inspired by the Dave Mathews songs) is a newer addition to the community in Boston being in existence for under a year around these parts. A cross between Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac, the band will be playing a slightly lower volume set that is typical for them, which I find to be always interesting and makes for a pretty killer show when bands do something like this. Their brand new EP is out and streaming all over the internets now. Check it out HERE.

Julia Mark is the type of artist who makes me wish my parents forced piano lessons on me as a kid. Her hands effortlessly dance across the ivories and her voice is equal parts pure power and delicate grace. You may have seen her singing with the Ruby Rose Fox band and killing it on the harmony end of things, but you should definitely get out to this show and see what this gal packs in her own songwriting and performance.

Three At Home is a new one for me as well (though the sum of their parts are folks I have crossed paths with along the way). Joining forces is Dann Russo and Mary Casiello. Self described as “harmony-driven pop-rock-folk incorporates intelligent and honest lyrics, chord progressions both familiar and new, and a pervasive energy and fun that is infectious in their live performances”, it is always a sure bet that when two great performers get together the output is usually something pretty fantastic.

More info on the show (i.e. tickets and what not) RIGHT HERE.

For now check out a couple of videos from each of the bands to see what you are in for below.
