Peep This: Kingsley Flood “Try” Video

There is just something about Kingsley Flood. Lead singer and guitarist Naseem Khuri just has this refined swagger about him…even when he is running around the streets of Washington DC.

‘Try’ is from Another Other, the third full-length album by Kingsley Flood, and maintains that certain sense of something that the band manages to harness. The building and blending of horns and fiddles with the glue of a prominently strummed steel string acoustic. Khuri’s voice at the center with it’s natural break, endearing but engaging. Perhaps what is most appealing about the new video is that they feature beautiful murals from local artists around the DC area. Khuri running in slow motion past them, a man in a suit in hot pursuit. The ending of the video with him standing up to marvel at the final mural in front of him, a fitting one to be tackled to the ground in front of.

“If these walls could talk to me / I’d politely decline”
