Brunch is never a bad decision. I eat breakfast food for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night when I am feeling nostalgic for slightly inebriated college runs to the Eagle Diner for scrambie eggs and homefries. While I anticipate the crackling speakers of the Eagle will be replaced with sweet sounds of bluegrass picking and some killer harmony singing and the food is certainly a bit more upscale the main point remains the same: brunch is never a bad decision.
So get on down, read a bit more below and enjoy some daytime music and good eats at good old Passim.

Cambridge, MA – February 7, 2017– The wait is almost over. Live Music Brunch officially kicks off at Club Passim this Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12, 2017.
Diners will enjoy brunch accompanied by live music from the stage of the historic Cambridge listening room. Each brunch will feature a different style of music including Bluegrass, Old Time, Blues, Celtic, Classical, Folk, Jazz and more.
The Live Music Brunch menu will include everything from Avocado Benedict and Stuffed French Toast, to Parfait house granola and Passim Breakfast Sandwiches. Diners will find a special treat with BKK Street Bread, a bread slathered in a sugar/butter mixture and griddled. All menu items will be created from scratch with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan menu options are available. Passim took over its kitchen operations in 2015, creating a new dining experience at the legendary music venue.
“We’ve spent the last two weeks serving our Passim friends and family with brunches and surveying the community about the Live Music Brunch,” said Michael Bissante, manager of the Kitchen at Passim. “Through all of this, we have been making subtle changes to the menu and we’ve confident that we have our timing down to offer a really unique brunch experience.”
Eric McDonald will perform on both Saturday and Sunday of this opening weekend. Other upcoming performers include Katya Herman; Mariel Vandersteel; Elizabeth & Ben Anderson; BB Bowness, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes & Matt Whitler; Bertrand Laurence; Dan Bui; Semi-Electric Heaters; Lindsay Straw & Dan Accardi; Owen Marshall and more.
“The Live Music Brunch will bolster our mission to foster community, expand our programming, and provide more opportunities for musicians,” said Jim Wooster, Executive Director of Passim. “Brunch will make Club Passim a destination from morning to night.”
Live Music Brunch at Club Passim will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM beginning February 11 2017. The Kitchen at Club Passim is currently open for dinner for concert goers.
