There are a lot of bands that undergo transformation as they grow and evolve. Sounds adapt as members come and go, sonic aesthetics and the focus shifts from influence to influence and genre to genre. Its all a part of the exploration of being a band and finding your sound. Wise Old Moon has been one of the most successful North East acts I have seen do this and their current line up and sound is nothing short of fantastic. The energy and the quality of the playing and songwriting has expanded and risen like a shotgun blast and there’s no sign of slowing down for the band.
We caught them last weekend up in the promised land at the Light Club Lamp Shop. Here they are performing their original tune “Denver to Charlotte”…
