Show You Should Know: Twisted Pine / Kellen Zakula and the Yeah Daddies at Lizard Lounge (Jan 29th)

We here at RLR love us some bluegrass music. High and lonesome vocals, unfathomably fast mandolin and banjo runs, soaring fiddles and the weight of the upright bass grounding it all and gluing the sound together…and lets not forget the harmonies!

Well, our old pals in the quintet of Twisted Pine check all those boxes for us an more. Lucky for you all the band will be playing a last minute headlining slot next Friday night (January 29th) and one of the coziest rooms in the city, The Lizard Lounge. The band has been hard at work on a new EP and this will be their first show around the city since June. I was lucky enough to catch them at Freshgrass Festival in September and again on Long Island at Livestock Festival as well…the band just gets better and better and they were on fire at both shows (something to warm you up in this cold weather, eh?).

Twisted Pine Freshgrass

Supporting the outfit will be the melodical songwriting outfit of  Kellen Zakula and the Yeah Daddies.

So get on down to the show next week for some fierce bluegrass tunes and infectious melodies folks.
