Hacienda/For the Sake of the Song Team up to Pay Tribute

Paying tribute to the songwriters and musicians that influence our work is nothing new to many in the Boston folk/roots community. For a number of years now, Patrick Coman and his For the Sake of the Song series have payed tribute to the likes of Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, John Prine, Jason Isbell and a plethora of other songwriters.

More recently, Coman has teamed up with songwriter and Hacienda Group collaborator, Jay Psaros. The Hacienda Group is a music collective formed on Boston’s South Shore bringing many elements of the music business together under one roof. Video shoots, artist collaboration, recording sessions and more all fall under this create umbrella in a really great and unique setting. The two songwriters and creative minds also had Krista Baroni along for the ride and in keeping with the FTSOTS mantra, recorded collaborations on their own songs as well as songs that heavily influenced their work. The videos are out, they are fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what comes down the road from all of this.

Last evening a host of other musicians ascended on the building that houses Hacienda’s studio and in collaboration with 37 ft. Productions and Almost Famous on WATD performed original and inspirational tunes live on air. I am told that video evidence will be rolling out in the near future, but for now check out the work that Patrick, Jay and Krista cooked up. Some wonderful stuff here and in the pipeline from this really great effort…
