Brewster Productions: Give Back to Those Who Give so Much
I’ve been a huge fan of all that the Brewster Productions crew puts on for a long while now. I was lucky enough to get involved in their Acoustic Nights concert series early on, and what a few of those nights may have lacked in audience way early on, they more than made up for in atmosphere and heart. I may have been playing to the ocean and Jon, Scott and Andrew but it felt like an arena because these guys really poured themselves into the shows.
Fast-forward about 8 years and the shows have grown exponentially. I was lucky enough to play another one of these events last year to a completely filled Hedge House lawn alongside some great friends…and there were Jon, Andrew and Scott still smiling and enjoying the music just as much as they had 8 years ago. I think thats why these guys are so special. They truly love the music. Brewster has expanded into other series as well, including the co-sponsored Barn Shows (which are epic) and the afternoon Gazebo Series just next to where the Acoustic Nights happen on the Hedge House lawn. Further cementing how much they all do for local, independent music around these parts. Truly amazing cats…or people. But, if they were cats, they would be the best of the best kind of cats. But I digress.
“We’ve loved watching the concert series mature and develop over the years,” said Brewster Productions co-owner Jon Dorn. “But the financial commitment has grown too, and for the first time we really need a helping hand from the community to make the series happen.”
The folks at Brewster need our help to continue with their FREE concert series though. It takes time, time and money to host these shows. So give a buck, or give a hundred bucks. This is something that is well worth your time and money. More so than anything I have shared before…help these guys because what they are doing and have been doing for the past 8 years is important.
