Things going through my head at the beginning of the evening last Saturday for the 2 Year Anniversary Show: will anyone show up to support the people playing? will the performers get anything out of this? is this worth it? where the hell is Deluca, he goes on in 15 minutes?
Things going through my head at the end of the night: lets do this again.
Working with some of the very amazing people at the Harvard Square Business Association and of course our family at Club Passim we will be bringing you an event, similar in ideal to the 2 Year Anniversary show, but on a slightly grander scale.
Outdoor stage with daytime performances on Palmer Street followed up by an evening jam packed with music at Club Passim. In the round sets from some of the most talented songsmiths around, full bluegrass, rock n’ roll, folk, and everything in between acts. Some of the most talented folks in the Red Line Roots family from all over New England will be participating…and if time serves us right we will have not another volume, but another two volumes of Locals Covering Locals to be celebrating.
The next three months are going to be hectic with planning, sponsorship, and booking, but I assure you…we are going to has ourselves a time again.
Hope to see some wonderful people out in the Square this summer…just think: No Snow, Sunshine, and great music.
