Cold Chocolate CD Release This Weekend at Passim!

Cold Chocolate blew me away the first time I caught them. Ethan Robbins is a hell of a guitarist and the band rounds everything out so nicely. The trading of the lead vocals between himself and upright bassist, Kirsten Lamb, is a really nice touch too and keeps things fresh. I remember sitting around a table picking out traditional tunes and Dead covers with Robbins about a year and a half ago and thinking as good as he is on guitar, man what an underrated voice this guy has. Super pleasant to listen to and always strong. The band releases a new record at Passim this coming Sunday (the 19th) and I strong urge you to get on over to Harvard Square and check them out!

Here is a video I shot of the band a while back. We scraped the “shakey cam, moving around” stuff and went with the straight on approach. Regardless, the band is fantastic!
