“Tastes Like Winter” by CeCe Carroll…My Wife
9.8 times out of 10 what I write about over here on Red Line relates to music or can at least be argued back to that. Well, today we divulge just a tiny bit because I am beaming with pride more than I can properly explain.
A couple years back my wife decided she would start scribbling down ideas for a book. She did, she would toss ideas off me back and forth “what should the town be called?” or “how does this sound? Would a teenage guy say that?”. Years passed and nothing came of it until one day she started blogging about other people’s books. I think something must have clicked, either a lot of what she was reading she realized wasn’t all that great or she wanted a piece of the pie. So she picked it back up and finished the book…then wrote another, and started a third. The first one is officially released tomorrow, but the Amazon link is up today.
Now, I have tooled around with the idea of writing a book, but I just don’t have that type of discipline to write 200-300 pages on one thing. When I start a song that I think is good and quickly become frustrated with it usually ends up crumbled at the bottom of the trash can before too long. And those are usually a page long. I have a ton of respect for anyone who puts in the time to write a book, especially after seeing how much effort and patience my own wife has put into this one. I just wanted to let that be known over here in this side of my life as well as with the “real” me.
So, if you are looking for a love story in your life, a holiday gift for a special someone, or just want to give some support to me as a conduit…then hit the link and order a copy of the book (kindle or hardcopy).
