‘I’ve Been Everywhere, Man’ Art Show, NAVE Gallery, Davis Square- SUBMIT TODAY!

There are countless mubeen-everywhere-man-e1405813534402sicians here in town. I’d even go so far as to say, there are countless good musicians, even countless great musicians in town. We are pretty spoiled when it comes to a varied mix of great songsters, guitar players, and drummers around these parts. One thing that there aren’t a whole lot of are rabid fanatics of the music that care about it so greatly, that do as much as they can to help spread the word of it that they go and create a YouTube channel of all local acts that they shot during their shows and oh yeah, create an entire art exhibition where those musicians can share their art in other avenues. Jenn Harrington is one of the few fanatics…ok, maybe Jenn isn’t rabid or fanatical, but this gal cares more about local music and is neck deep in it much more than your average audience member out at a show on any given night. Need proof? Just check her youtube page : http://www.youtube.com/user/jenn999999999999

Jenn is curating a great event at the NAVE Gallery in Davis Square with some of her colleagues and asking for submissions. Come on, don’t be a dick and wait until the last minute, get your submissions in today! We already got ours in!

We elevate our heroes. The gods are in the clouds. Superheroes fly. Marbled idols stand on pedestals. And our cameras aim at musicians where they are at their best—on stage. But how do they get there? And, more importantly—with days dedicated to cramped cars, thin wallets, beat-up motels, loneliness—why do they follow that long and winding road from one venue to the next? ‘I’ve Been Everywhere, Man: Musicians on the Road’ is an intimate exhibition of the reflections, adventures, humor, and hardships of musicians on tour.
