Last evening I got home from the monotony of my day job, a little worn down, a little too tired to think I had to go back to the office the next morning…that was until I got in the door and saw my Newport Folk tickets had finally arrived in the mail and my wife had lovingly put them out where I would see them and cheer me right up.
The day that my tickets arrive in the mail for Newport every year is like Christmas morning to me. Making good money, pushing 30, there isn’t much that excites me in the way of physical goods these days that if I need I won’t go out and just get myself…but the ticket arrival, that’s something that gets me everytime. Bill, Bill, Bill…NEWPORT TICKETS! Made my day.
That being said, for those who weren’t lucky enough to get their hands on tickets for the weekend, be careful when trolling the high seas of the internet for tickets. NFF already had to make an announcement to not purchase tickets on craigslist as they weren’t even printed yet. Yup, folks trying to counterfeit tickets to our beloved folk festival. Be sure to use a safe, secure and honest ticketing agency that may have some of these coveted tickets up for grabs.
A vendor like ClickitTicket (http://www.clickitticket.com/) acts as a safe intermediary between a seller and buyer of tickets…and they just so happen to have some Newport Folk Festival tickets up for grabs as well (check it here). So if you don’t already have your weekend passes, head on over and see what they have. They also have an array of other events as well!
